More Than One Child in College

For financial aid planning do you/will you have more than one child in college at a time?

Parents planning on raising four children should dream of quadruplets. Why? The more children you have in college at one time, the more aid you garner.

Having four babies at once poses numerous challenges unrelated to college, but again, from an aid standpoint, you are ahead.

Your expected family contribution is reduced by a factor determined by the number of children you have in college at the same time. For example, your EFC is cut in half with two children in college. It is cut by two-thirds with three children in college, et cetera.
