Kathleen Hahn

Student Counselor

Hi my name is Kathy,

I was born and raised in Eastern Oregon. After high school, I attended the University of Oregon where I completed my baccalaureate work. I received my bachelor’s in Psychology with Secondary Education teaching endorsements in the Social Sciences, English, and Speech Communications. I taught at the middle and high school levels in Oregon, Idaho, and Washington. I earned my Master’s of Education in Counseling & Development from Eastern Washington University.

For 23 years of my career I worked at Lake Oswego High School in Oregon. In my role as a counselor at Lake Oswego, I was in charge of all PSAT and SAT testing, implemented and organized Laker Crew: Freshman Orientation, and consistently carried a 350-400 student case load. On average, 85% of my seniors moved on to a 4-year college and the rest with a solid post-secondary plan. I was thrilled to be involved in every step of that process.

Helping young people through all phases of high school, as a career, has been my identity for more than 30 years of my life. I am very familiar and comfortable working alongside students and parents through the entirety of the collegiate journey. I have also gone through this process with my own children, so I’ve been in the trenches too. I am eager and excited to form new relationships with students and their parents through College Funding Systems. Although the process may seem a bit daunting at the outset, my goal is to assist you with the information, tools, and guidance needed for smooth sailing. I am confident that with the collaboration of our entire team, your student’s goals can be achieved!
