Britany Phillips

Student Counselor

Hi, my name is Britany. During my high school years, I was fortunate enough to have adults in my life who provided me with the support and guidance I needed to create my own post-secondary plan and career goals. I distinctly remember preparing for SATs, looking into programs, narrowing down colleges, and filling out applications and scholarships. The process was exciting, overwhelming, and required a lot of work. I was so thankful for the individuals that guided me through that process. It was because of them, that it became clear I wanted to provide that same support one day.

My passion for working with young people has guided my career over the last 10+ years. I have had the opportunity to work with students in the school setting and in athletics. My college journey began at Boise State University as a student-athlete and led me to Portland State University to complete my BA in Psychology. I then obtained my Masters in School Counseling at George Fox University and have worked as a High School Counselor in the Portland Metro and Columbia County Regions of Oregon.

I find it truly rewarding to help students discover their college and career goals and make it a priority to get to know each student’s strengths and interests. I hope to have the opportunity to work with your student(s) as they maneuver through the sometimes overwhelming process of post-secondary planning. I am confident that with my support and expertise your student will have access to the structure, direction, and accountability needed to create a personal post-secondary plan that best suits their college and career goals.
