Marie Krueger

Hi! My name is Marie. I grew up in Auburn, Washington where I attended Auburn High School and Green River College as a Running Start student. While I grew up as an only child, my deep Italian roots provided me with a strong sense of family throughout my formative years as we made frequent trips to Southern California to visit grandparents, aunts and uncles, and generations of cousins. Currently, I live in Wenatchee, WA with my husband, two daughters, and our mini goldendoodle, Josie. In our free time we enjoy hiking, playing at the river in the summer, the mountains in the winter, and watching football. 

Upon graduating from high school, with my associate’s degree, I attended the University of Washington. At UW, I joined a sorority where I made life-long friends and served on the leadership team. I spent time volunteering at public schools in the Seattle area which is where I discovered my calling to work with young people. I graduated from UW with two bachelor’s degrees, one in Early Childhood Family Studies and the other in Communication. I obtained my Master’s in School Counseling from Seattle University and worked as a School Counselor at a private college preparatory high school for several years. During my time there, I was afforded the opportunity to visit dozens of college campuses across the nation and attend professional college admission conferences to expand my knowledge as a college counselor. 

I am committed to giving each student individual attention and recognition for their unique qualities. I am passionate about empowering young adults to make informed decisions by focusing on personal strengths, providing continual motivation and guided accountability. My hope is that through my work with your student(s) they will envision their potential and feel confident about the next step in their educational career. I am looking forward to beginning this exciting journey with you.
